Vespera 3’s 5 kg figure describes the system. ODYSSEY’s 4 kg figure describes the telescope. Ask for the total packed weight with tripod, case, cables, and accessories before comparing the carrying load.

The included supports are also different: Vespera 3 uses an adjustable tripod, while ODYSSEY includes a full-height tripod. Check collapsed size and ground footprint if storage or transport space is tight.

Viewing and control

Vespera 3 uses the Singularity app. ODYSSEY sends the view to a phone or tablet and has no eyepiece. The eyepiece-equipped ODYSSEY PRO is a separate model.

This makes phone or tablet support, screen brightness, charging, and app updates part of the observing setup for either system.
